Mary joined the firm in 1992 after completing her A Levels at the local girls’ Grammar School. Mary qualified as a Legal Accounts Fellow with CILEX in 1997. Since then, she has spearheaded the Accounts department and in 2003 took over the management of the firm, going on to become a Partner in 2016.
Mary brings a practical approach to assist our lawyers and support clients by addressing client care issues from a personal and a non-lawyer’s perspective. She prides herself on being able to see matters from the client’s point of view and works hard to ensure clients are happy and feel satisfied with the Mossop & Bowser service. Mary has often assisted lawyers and clients in joint meetings with her superior accounting skills and pragmatic approach to solving their problems.
The work that Mary undertakes ensures the office runs smoothly and efficiently. She is responsible for client care, financial management, compliance and many other essential management tasks which enable our lawyers to concentrate their time on client matters.
Raised in the local area, Mary still lives in Holbeach and with her family having an agricultural background, she has many links to to the local community – historically acting as a Governor at William Stukeley Primary School and currently as a Trustee for the local Farmer Educational Foundation. Outside of work, Mary takes Spanish lessons and has been part of the local scuba diving club.
Mary is supported by the Compliance Team (Ellie Colbert and Gemma Cooper) and the Administrative Team (Rebecca Coupland and Lorna Cooper) who help her provide the core to the successful management of Mossop & Bowser.
